Non-stop Learning&Practice
Community out-reaching as well as experiential learning have taken roots in Auesome Place. We deeply believe our learning and developing should not be limited by the walls around us. Learning by doing is our key to independence.
Deciduous autumn, gentle breeze, all goodunexpected. Whilebasking in the golden sun, Auesome members explored anddiscovered a secluded place close to our extended family, where we could take aleisurely walk. Under the shade of a tree, with parachute and balls ofdifferent sizes, we played the game of "Blowing in the wind, blowing inthe wind" and "Making acake"Passers by were attracted by theatmosphere of our game and stopped toenjoy it. We interacted with them warmly and said hello, which we kept in ourmemories.
From making a shopping list, choosing products that meet our requirements with a reasonable price, calculating the price, communicating with the cashier to completing the payment. These tasks may seem routine to us, but actually it takes ample time to practice. The good news is that Auesomers are increasingly able to accomplish these tasks independently. We cannot change the outside world, we can not create a sanctuary for our students, but we can build bridges between them and the outside world and prepare them for a better future.
Hello ,Auesome Family !I’m Aiping Jin and my English name is Ivy. I’m so glad to meet you all here. Since 1999, I have been engaged in the field of education. My work experiences at The Children’s House, House of Knowledge and Beijing 3e international school have helped me accumulate a lot of experience in bilingual education and working in international schools. As things change, the development of Beijing’s education industry is becoming increasingly diversified, and the field’s incessant expansion has amazed me.
My happy family has three members. My daughter is in high school. We get along well with each other. We all love life and we travel together during holidays. We often have different kinds of pets at home, plant all types of seasonal vegetables and enjoy pastoral fun. Growing up in Beijing since childhood, I was surrounded by Beijing’s unique folk culture. In spring, I would go to the Temple of Heaven to fly kites and jump elastic bands with my friends in hutongs; In summer, I would boat in the rippling Beihai. In autumn, I would hang out with my friends and enjoy the red leaves of Xiangshan. In winter, I would go to Ditan traditional temple fairs and skate at Houhai... These pleasures let me have a happy and unforgettable childhood. In the process of teaching, I often unconsciously combine these elements with Chinese traditional culture to recapture the happiness of childhood with children.
In 2019, due to work reasons, I went to Tokyo, Japan to start a new experience. While working in Japan, I could not forget my previous educational work experiences, but I also had a strong interest in Japan’s educational system and teaching style, and began to deliberately explore some of the characteristics of Japanese education. Taking part in the open days of Japanese schools in my spare time offered me chances to get to know the characteristics of the Japanese education system. Japanese primary schools would focus on well-rounded education to cultivate correct outlooks on life and values in children. Secondary schools would help students develop various interests, guide them to find directions for life developments, and universities will cultivate all kinds of excellent talents. But what surprised me most was that, in addition to many mainstream educational institutions, Japan also has large-scale and well-established special education institutions, with independent and perfect syllabus and excellent teachers. It made me realize the importance of special education that the Japanese society had attached to it.
This June, I finished my work in Japan and returned to Beijing, where I had been away for more than two years. By chance, I met members of the Auesome Place family and was very lucky to join the Auesome Place family. Being a member here made me very excited, feeling the love and tolerance, respect and close cooperation of family members here! Just after returning, this feeling seemed to give me a big warm hug and give me great power to move forward on the road of education! I hope my joining could bring more love and strength to the children in the Auesome Place family, and make the children in the family sunny and happy.
I appreciate this encounter! Many thanks to the family members’ and your trust, understanding and support! I will continue to work hard……
